Mom's Breand and Butter Pickles
Ingredients

| Cucumbers | 4 quarts, sliced thin |
| Onions | 6 medium, sliced thin |
| Green peppers | 2 |
| Vinegar | 3 cups |
| Salt | 1/3 cup |
| Sugar | 5 cups |
| Turmeric | 1.5 tsp |
| Celery seed | 1.5 tsp |
| Mustard seed | 2 tsp |
Directions
- Cover cucumbers, onions with ice for 3 hours.
- Combine vinegar, salt, sugar and spices
- Pour over veggies and bring to boiling point.
Makes about 6 pints.
